Mycelia Network
My current project, the Mycelia Network, is a web based democratic social software designed for group and network organizing and tailored to the needs of the global justice movement. The long term goal is to provide the technical means for the creation of active, confederal, and directly democratic social change networks. I hope to expand this project as an IMA student. The portfolio contains a copy of the info site, site map, design mockups, a design doc pdf, and various process and wire frame pdfs.

The Mycelia Collective, consisting of Elijah Saxon of Riseup.net, Jessi Berkelhammer of Eggplant Media, Brooke Lehman of the Institue for Social Ecology, began active development in the summer of 2006. We have an informational site, mycelia.riseup.net, have begun development using ruby on rails, mysql and php, and are actively seeking grant funding. We plan to have the beta launched by April 2007 and version 1 ready for use at the United States Social Forum in Atlanta, Georgia on June 27, 2007.
